Aem Water
When starting my car, at times smoke releases from the intake. What is the problem n wat can i do.. "accord92"
Had water sucked in by my AEM cold air intake n car wouldnt turn on but fixed it. I replaced it with new spark plus, spark plug wires n distributor cap n rotor. It works fine but just at time it dosent turn on n smoke comes out my AEM short ram intake filter
Well,, that kind of air intake encourages water to enter where it should normally not,, so as long as you have it you will just have to live with it.

AEM Water / Methanol Injection Kit for turbocharged imports
Do you think this is a good idea? (cold air intake question)?
i got an AEM short ram intake because i heard the actual 'cold air intake' can suck up water on rainy days because i have a 99 eclipse gs and it will be close to the ground...
do you think it would be a good idea to get an AEM v2 cold air intake on only put it on, on nice days...and on rainy days put the short intake back on?..

You probably wont have water sucked up into your intake unless your car is ridiculously close to the ground, and there should be something incorporated to stop that. As far as noticing a difference: not too much, the short ram sucks in air right from under the hood, but if you're low enough you should get some cold air in there, plus with a heat shield around the filter the air flow should be pretty consistent. It wouldn't be worth switching intakes back and forth or buying a new one when you have a decent one in already.

yah realised that actually that was faulty, so i 'shorted' the 2 connectors to the reservoir tank. Then the LED won't flash anymore. Just got to watch out for low levels.
