I think I have bipolar tendencies?
I go through different stages where I'm not tired at all for days, I stay up until all hours of the night and run around, cleaning and doing art projects. Then there are times where I'm tired constantly, and no amount of sleep can change it. At the same time I go through different abilities to think. When I'm tireless my thoughts race so fast I lose track of what I'm thinking of. When I'm tired my thoughts drag, I can't remember anything and move slowly. I don't go through the different euphoric and depressed stages. What do you think? Bipolar disorder runs in my family, my brother, dad, uncle, and grandfather has it.
There is no sleeping. There's me laying down for 6 hours listening to music, but no sleeping.
Possibly - but quite likely not. Many people have the sort of variation in energy and speed of thought you describe, without being bipolar. If you can manage how you are, if it doesn't make your life difficult, there's no purpose to be served in speculating about a psychiatric diagnosis which is only helpful if needed to decide on a treatment. I'm a bit like you, have nights when I stay up very late and get lots done and don't need much sleep, and other nights when I can't get enough sleep. It doesn't interfere with my life so I have just learned over the years to get to bed at a sensible hour when I need to be up early and alert the next day, and let myself do whatever I feel like when there are no particular demands the next day.
You only need to worry about bipolar if you start doing destructive things in your 'high' state, like spending all the money you've got and more, setting fire to things, etc. It doesn't sound as if anything like that is in the picture, so just count your blessings and enjoy your energy times.

Laughter just makes life easier.
Life without art would be very drab.
Fear is a useful emotion, so long as it does not paralyze.
I don't care for apples; I don't like the grainy texture.
Grades are not as important as what you actually learn and take with you.
Fashions are for idiots who have nothing better to do than try to impress others.
Drag racing is not my personal cup of tea.
Popularity is usually false, and fleeting at best; better quality of friends than quantity.
Shoes protect my feet; I'd be delighted if I didn't need to wear them, but it's cold here!

I think that is an excellent idea….If you can get them at your local idea some type of foriegn language tape….to listen to and learn….my kids have to take foriegn lauguages in school and if you can get a head start on it that would be great…..
Also, get a work out DVD or tape some of the workouts on TV and do them in your house to help lose a few pounds…
