I’m all against blood lust on reddit, but this is far from a first-time offender. In the Chicago Sun-Times today, this guy, LeVin, was in two articles — one news, and one editorial. It was written that he wouldn’t receive jail time for the hit-and-run in Florida that killed two people because the two widows of the deceased insisted on this plea bargain. He was drag racing in his Porsche 9-11. Full restitution on the wrongful death civil lawsuit in exchange for parole. I, for one, disagree with the judge’s ruling here, that puts monetary payments over hard time. However, LeVin still has to be brought back to Illinois, where he will be facing jail time for breaking his parole by *going* to Ft Lauterdale where he committed the hit-and-run. The crime he was on parole in Illinois for? Crashing on the Kennedy Expressway, injuring 3 people while drag racing in another Porsche. He has over 50 traffic violations. In short, he is a high danger to society at large, and should be put away.
