Alright So I have a 67 Mustang With a Ford 427 Sittin in my garage and I have been working on it lately... It is setup for drag racing and due to when it was put together by my dad the engine still requires leaded fuel (which racing Fuel is leaded) we have been tuning it up and stuff using regular 93 octane but I know what were doing to the inside of that engine and its killing me I am near the peoria area of Illinois does any one know where I can get 97+ octane leaded fuel for this ???

I adore Santino, and would bone the hell out of him in a hot minute. I thought he was mean to my favorite contestant on Drag Race season 2, and that soured me a bit on my Santino adoration. Perhaps this lovely looking little show will win him back in my good graces? (I love how delusional this whole post makes me look, with my pretend relationship with someone on tv.)

Greetings, hfjj1031. Is it too late to add info about other drag race celebs who will be there? They are Ben Donhoff, present owner of the Mopar Missile, and Joe Pappas. I believe you know Joe. He and Dick Oldfield were the hands-on technicians doing all the major work on the Missile and prepping and maintaining it in the ‘73 racing season. Donhoff, who is well known in Central Florida drag racing, will be showing the Missile and his other car, an ‘86 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z.
I live in palm beach county and Cobra replicas are the must have hot rod for the rich, middle-aged male residents of this county. I will say that there has been a decline in the number of them seen at car shows and drag race nights since the economy tanked. Why? Because the people who owned them were day traders and such, they live and die with the stock market. Another vehicle I see so frequently that they don’t matter to me anymore is the old ’60s mustang, especially red ones.

Misunderstanding, friend. I said innovator, not inventor. Here's some info-
“Harleys had roller lifters and I was impressed by that. I looked at the pros and cons and thought that a camshaft that could utilize these in a drag race car motor might produce a lot of power. I had this pal who was a hot rod circle track racer and he said to me, ‘Why don’t we build a circle car, you wrench and I drive?’ I said, ‘Okay, but I don’t want a flathead, everyone runs a flathead. I want an overhead valve engine, I want six carburetors, a 12-port head on a 6-cylinder Chevy, and I want to run what I’d call a roller cam.’”

It was 1949 when the first roller cam was manufactured for the performance automotive engine, and it was Chet Herbert Cams who designed and ground it.
