On a drag racing car, should I ever rotate the slicks?


I read in an article about a Hot Street racer (all motor, 1/4 Mi, hi 8's-lo 9's) that rotates his slicks for every race. What are your thoughts?

Either: Rotate every race or.. Don't rotate at all. The diff might be locked but engine torque puts more load on the right rear tyre than the left. This suggests that without rotation the right tyre would have a shorter life than the left.
