  Thanks for making the trip to the “Windy City” Suburbs. It was a pleasure to meet your team in person.

  The quality and engineering of your products are simply outstanding!

  We are very enthusiastic, to have ACS join the team, for our Nickey Super Camaro project.

  Our roots with the “Stinger” hoods go way back to 1966. The initial order of Nickey Camaros were slated to be drag racing cars. The objective was to get 50 built ASAP, in order to homologate them for the AHRA.

  The Nickey crew had determined that they would need more clearance for the Hi-Rise dual quad intake, as well as more air flow, so they borrowed the hood scoop design from the 1967 model 427ci Big Block Corvettes. That Camaro hood was soon adopted by every major Super Car Dealer and builder of the day.

  With the help of ACS, we will carry on the tradition of the 'Stinger” hoods with the 5th gereration Camaros.

  They are called rail's… There are also mini rail cars. The funny cars are the "triangle" looking cars. Lol, although the rails seem to break often, they have a extremely light but, strong frame work. They hold many records but the funny cars are much safer. if there is any kind of safety at 300mph.

  [...] Four x 2 Jump to Comments Nothing like a little controversy to keep drag racing in the news.  We had the big Four-Wide meet a few weeks ago in Concord and generally speaking, most don’t like it.  The drivers gave a resounding no, although some have recanted or backed away from the – absolutely no way no how – that we heard right after the race.  Fans weren’t all that for it because well, 4 cars are twice as hard to watch as two.  And to be honest, the races are so fast and over with so quickly, adding another variable just makes it that much harder to view.  Traditional ways are hard to break especially in drag racing.   Nitromethane is a relatively slow burning fuel compared to gasoline. In addition, teams use extremely rich mixtures to prevent the engine from pre-ignition. The flames are the unburned fuel which continues to burn in the pipes, even after the exhaust valve is closed after the exhaust stroke. If you do the math, the entire lifespan of a Top fuel engine from burnout to finish line is less than 1,000 revolutions.

  Note to Copenhagen: Whether it's NHRA or NASCAR, you can barely see a blue methanol flame, and it certainly won't be the bright yellow or orange color of your example.
