Vivid Racing VR750 Horsepower Kit Porsche 997 TT 07+ $14495.99 Vivid Racing is proud to release its new VR750 horsepower kit for the Porsche 997 Turbo. This kit was developed as the intermediate level to our VR630 and VR800 performance kits. The VR750 features a variety of quality, tested racing products to give you a reliable, daily drivable, and high output performance vehicle. As tested here in our Gilbert, Arizona facility. The VR750 turbo kit put out a very strong 616awhp and 632ft/lbs of torque with the Mustang Dyno correction factor. Our test vehicle was a 2007 Porsche 997 Turbo Tiptronic. The car reached its final number using VP109 octane unleaded fuel at 1.3bar of boost. As tested on pump gas, the car still made an impressive 557 awhp and 600ft/lbs of torque. With an ambient temperature of 92F in our dyno room, cooler temperatures and a 6speed transmission can only mean more horsepower! To further the testing of our VR750 turbo kit, we immediately sent it off to run in the 2009 Gumball 3000 rally from LA to Miami. With 7 days of hard driving, 2 track events including a road course and drag strip, as well as high speed runs, this was an excellent test to put the car through beyond its dyno numbers. As vehicle owner Caleb Garrett stated, “The huge low end torque increase over my previous mods was very noticeable. When the turbos hit the car was a rocket pulling hard all the way to redline.” By retaining the VTG turbo setup, we are able to maintain fast spool up for those wanting a strong streetable setup. By not eliminating the VTG design, there is no need for changing oil lines, coolant lines, or other components found on a standard Garrett based turbocharger. Each turbo is disassembled and rebuilt with a larger turbo wheel that flows almost 40cfm more then the stock units. The end result is a brand new modified turbocharger. In order to achieve this performance increase, it is necessary have proper tuning of the Bosch ECU. Vivid Racing has been a partner of Softronic who has been tuning ECUs and building Porsche engines for nearly 30 years. The Softronic tuning procedure is far more complex then others global changes. The performance of our 700HP kit is designed to give you a well rounded vehicle for different types of driving. On the street, the car drives very linear and when you are not into boost, you would never know what you have at the control of your right foot. On the road course, the fast spooling Garrett GT2860rs ball bearing turbos and Tial 44mm external wastegates give you amazing corner exit speed with the huge low end torque it produces. At the drag strip or the highway, your trap speeds destroy the competition because of the top end power these turbos delivery. Overall, the Stage 4B 700HP kit is the ultimate in performance for your Porsche 996TT. The complete kit listed below includes everything you need to take a stock Porsche 996TT to the 700HP level. The turbo kit features true Garrett GT2860rs ball bearing turbochargers. To make the Garrett turbos work on the Porsche, you need to have the conversion parts to mount them up. This requires new headers, dump tubes for the external wastegates, CNC machined aluminum oil cans, and CNC machined steel exhaust adapters to retain the OEM style exhaust. We also include new fittings to run with the replacement oil lines and required water line kit to keep the ball bearing turbochargers working properly. The fueling for this kit is using upgraded RC Engineering 60lb injectors. These injectors are designed to improve fueling to the capacity this kit requires. You do retain the stock 3.8bar fuel pressure regulator. Because this kit uses Tial 44mm external wastegates, the factory boost solenoid cannot be used. We then supply a Greddy Profec BII electronic boost controller. This boost controller features a high and low boost setting, digital gauge, gain, warning, and peak reading setting. To ensure proper air flow in an efficient manner, we upgrade the factory T Plenum to the IPD unit. This "Y" shape helps direct the increased air flow from the larger turbochargers to the intake manifolds. All of these parts come together with the tuning from Softronic. The Softronic ECU Flash has been tested and proven to give you the safest and most reliable features from the stock ECU.The final requirement to connect the wheels to the pavement is upgrading your clutch. The pedal is considerably stiffer than the Sport Pressure Plate, but the trade off is increased holding capacity. Exedy's Wasabi twin-disc cerametallic design is rated to 505lb-ft at the flywheel for drag racing and 625lb-ft at the flywheel for road racing. This kit includes a chromoly flywheel. If you're not making this much power and don't want the increase in pedal pressure, we suggest the Sport kit, sold above.
