  While I understand poker not being considered a sport, by your definition, some others would qualify more had you actually done them.

  I am not a big auto racing fan, but that "activity" or whatever you want to call it does require more strength and stamina than you'd ever realize. Have you ever seen an extremely overweight NASCAR driver? I'm sure part of that could be attributed to minimizing weight of the car in a similar fashion to horse racing, but driving normal roads with curves and such requires some skills and such much less driving a car at those speeds for prolonged periods of time. Also, strategy does play a part in it as well, were you to listen to a commentary of a auto race. I'm not sure how much teamwork plays in other forms of auto racing, but there is some teamwork utilized in NASCAR racing. There's strategy for positioning, path taken around the track based on track conditions, timing of passes, timing of pit stops for optimal benefit without losing position, etc. Many aspects you obviously are not thinking of.

  As far as baseball goes, obviously you've never spent much time doing that either. There's every bit as much strategy in a baseball game as there is in basketball. For example, catcher/pitcher strategy on pitch selection and location, fielder location based on odds of where a hitter is likely to hit the ball, batter strategy on where to hit the ball, hit and runs, stealing bases, etc. Have you ever noticed how many baseball players are injured over the course of a season? I would say that has to do with the strength and stamina aspect, as well as overall physical fitness needed to play it.

  I could go on, but hopefully you get the point. Basically what I am trying to say is that while you might not consider it a sport due to not playing it or being unfamiliar with it, that doesn't make it any less of a sport and it's participants any less of an athlete. Might want to research things you are commenting on before making such generalizations.
