Narrowboat "drag racing." Is this wise or foolish. ?
Hi fellow boaties,
It is just that at a national boat festival, they organised a drag race up the Avon.
Oh dear, I came 1st because my stupid boat has got an over-powered engine.
But those that were moored up had thier tea spilt due the wash,
I apologised for something that is 60ft long doing about 12mph displacing water.
Whoops.
So is narrowboat drag racing a good bit of fun, or dodgy ?

Think about this next time you embark upon a narrowboat drag race.
How much more exciting would it be for the foolishly unaware tea sippers to be sat spectating a whole new sport, loosely based on the sport of narrowboat drag racing, 'Narrowboat Jousting" you and a nominated team member embark upon a head to head duel down your favourite stretch of water against the opposing team.
Both start at opposite ends of the water stretch, with your nominated team member sat at the front of the boat brandishing a barge pole, ready to demolish the opposing side.
Much more fun for Mr and Mrs Tea-sipper to spectate
You could even add some spectator sports like, 'Hot tea tossing' where they try to hinder the sight of their least favourite partaker by tossing hot tea in their face.
