Then he spotted a clearing where Lysander couldn't see him and the trees couldn't get him. He raced to the clearing and layed Emily down. The trees were getting closer. He swung his backpack around and got the small spellbook, he flipped it open on a the right page labled "Portals." Then he searched his pockets for the three rocks. He took them out of his pocket and spoke part of the incantation. He threw them into the air and they caught fire one was hovering about 5 feet of the ground and the other two were about an inch of the ground. He said the other part and the fire turned blue and his house appeared in middle of the three rocks. The trees were about to grab them. He dragged Emily threw. I have some errors I just noticed Sorry
Good ideas but the sentences are too short and although they add intensity they distract and are hard to read.
Instead of "He raced to the clearing and layed Emily down. The trees were getting closer. He swung his backpack around and got the small spellbook, he flipped it open on a the right page labled "Portals." Then he searched his pockets for the three rocks."
Try "The trees felt like they were rushing closer as he raced to the clearing to lay Emily down. He swung his backpack around and grabbed the small spellbook from the top pocket. Frantically his right hand turned the pages until he found the one labelled "Portals: while his left hand searched his pocket for the three rocks."
It reads a little smoother and gives more detail to the reader. Hope this helps!
