drag strip
how do i go about opening my own drag strip?
a basic 2 lane dragstrip for local people to race their cars. how do i go about opening one.
You will need a piece of property that is zoned correctly, and large enough to have the track, seating areas, and pit areas. After you get all the local governmental approvals, you can start building.
You will need to have insurance to cover you if there is a problem. You need to install the track, and all lights, and timing devices. You want to put state of the art safety equipment in.
You will need to fence the entire area. You will also need a building to act as the track office. You will need to provide some sort of rest room facilities, be it portable toilets, or real restrooms.
You are looking as a high cost project.

You posted this in the aircraft section. The only one I know of that is close to Waco is just outside of Ennis, but the NHRA will be holding the O'Reilly Fall nationals there.

I happen to live in ohio, which drag strips did you go to? Virtually all funny cars had a hemi, even the ones with ford and chevy bodies, as well as top fuel dragsters.
He was wearing special fire retardant clothing which is not flammable it's kind of like a bomb suit a much tougher version of the standard kit
