kingda ka and TTD.... sister coasters?
TTD (top thrill dragster) was built first, iff i'm correct. did the builder of kindga ka build it specifically to beat TTD in the height and speed? are they just called sister coasters cause they are so alike? has kingda ka ever been accused of stealing the track idea from TTD? what do yall think?
Kingda Ka and Top Thrill Dragster are produced by the same manufacturer, which is Intamin. They are the same model, which is common at many parks across the country.
Both were built to shatter height and speed records. Top Thrill Dragster was the first, and Kingda Ka was built just a little taller to break the height/speed record. Kingda Ka and TTD are very similar but not exactly the same; not only is Kingda Ka a little taller, but there is a 'bunny hill" at the end of the ride just before final brakes/station.
