Was Cedar Point the right choice?
On Friday, I'm going to Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. I'm going here because Roller Coasters are my favorite thing in the world. I'm going to arrive at 2:00 on Friday, and then stay at Hotel Breakers and go to the park all of Saturday and Sunday and then leave on Monday. Does anyone have any advice, or has anyone been on The Top Thrill Dragster? Has anyone been there on a really busy day? What are the lines like? Give me any info you might think will be helpful
I go to cedar point every year and I love it! If you have not already bought tickets I would suggest buying the ride and slide ticket. That ticket allows you to bounce back and forth between cedar point and soak city (the water park). The ticket is great because when the sun hits mid day it gets HOT and it is nice to be able to go swimming and cool off then go to your hotel room take a nap, then head back to cedar point for the night! Another big tip is any restaurant you go into has to give you a cup off water. The bottled water is very over priced. I would also check to see if they still have time stamps for the major rides. What they will do is stamp your hand for some of the major rides and this stamp allows to skip MOST of the line! Make sure you ask at the front desk of the hotel. I would also check if they are having any picnic specials. On some days they will offer a food special where you pay one price then you have your choice at buffet. Also if you have any peanut allergies alot of the food in the park is made in peanut oil. If you are not allergic I suggest the french fries at the happy frier (yum!). They also have a laser show around 10pm (you have to see it once) if you do not see it jump on the big rides like millenium force right before it closes because they are FUN at night. If you drink do NOT do it in the park because you will pay $9-10 for one cup of beer. Make sure you stay hydrated and have fun!!!

TOP THRILL DRAGSTER Roller Coaster @ Cedar Point - Sandusky, OH
Has anyone ever been on the top thrill dragster roller coaster in Cedar Point???
I have always wanted to know what the roller coaster is like so....please tell me your experiance on it. Its in Cedar Point park in Ohio. Its the tallest fastest coaster in The USA
Oh my gosh it was sooo FUN! I was always so scared of rollercoasters and the whole time I was standing in line I was on the verge of tears and asking everyone if I would be ok. haha.
It's such a rush! You're sitting in the car and you go forward on the track and sit there for a minute. Revving engine sounds are made and people in bleachers can sit and watch you like you're really about to race. Then there's a traffic light thing that lights up yellow, yellow, yellow, green and then you take off!! I was so freaked out because it doesn't have a shoulder harness, just a lap one... but the momentum keeps you locked to your seat. My picture was hilarious! Hope you get the chance to go on it, it was awesome.
I went when it first came out too (I live in Michigan so I used to go there at least once a year) and I waited like 2-3 hours in line and the ride seriously lasts about 15 seconds or something. I wanted to go on it again so bad but I didn't want to wait in line again. Now they have those fast pass things...you should definitely get one!!!!

I would love to go just about anywhere cooler than South/Central Texas. I'd love a trip to the mountains, or to a beach on the eastern US coast. I'd take a trip to New England or to an island (at least there is wind blowing all the time in the heat!). I'd really love a trip to the midwest: my dh could ride his dream roller coaster in Ohio, my girls could go to the American Girl store in Chicago, we could all go to the Creation Museum, and I could meet several stamping friends in person!
