Stall Torque
In a v6 with good torque would you worry about stalling the car with a lightweight flywheel?
It has low 4.15 gears
just wondering if its only an issue on 4 cyl
I know how works i just never driven with one going by what I read on internet
Any lightweight flywheel and clutch assembly is subject to stalling with any motor regardless of torque or horsepower.
The driver must learn to "slip" the clutch slightly when starting out in low gear. Once in motion he or she can row through the gears without slipping the clutch.
The flywheel static weight isn't as important as where the rotating mass of the weight actually is. The further away from the crankshaft the weight is the easier it is to get the car in motion from a dead stop.
