top thrill dragster station
fear of heights.. sometimes?
Is it weird that I can ride roller coasters as high as Millennium Force (310 feet) and Top Thrill Dragster (420 feet) and all other kinds of coasters and thrill rides, with no problem..
yet when I get 3 steps up on a ladder and look down, I freeze?
I change prices on a sign at a gas station that is 30 feet above the ground and when I get up there, I cannot look down or I freeze, or get nervous.
What is going on?
I appreciate these answers. I thought I was crazy, lol.
NOT uncommon. On the coaster, you're seated, strapped in and surrounded. With the sign, you're by yourself.
I assure you that it's mind over matter. There are several mental exercises that you can do when you're up there to help overcome your fear. Google fear of heights, and find one. It's kinda like meditation.

I think I would prefer a Top Thrill Dragster rollback to being stuck on the Magnum's first hill. I missed out on what could have been my best chance at a rollback on a rainy day launch when the train I was on roared over the crest of the hill… Just like it is supposed to do… Much to my disappointment.Sorry I can't make the pilgrimage to the Cedar Point this summer… I miss the Macho Nachos.

Well, just ask yourself if you did have roller coasters like that at your home park would you have ridden them? If you say yes then it will be a fairly easy transition. If you say no, then you should just start with something that is barely 200 feet (Magnum XL-200, it's 205 feet). Once you ride that (and realize that it's awesome) you can easily go on something like Millennium Force. Millennium Force is my favorite roller coaster too, so I can definitely say that it's worth it.
