top thrill dragster gets stuck
top thrill dragster question..?
im going to cedar point next week and although i have been on dragster a few times before im scared its going to get stuck at the top i know its happend a few times before....why does it get stuck from time to time? does it have to do with weather ?
it cant get stuck. it can only fall backwards. this happens when its hot out and the metal expands. the expanded metal causes more friction which can cause the car to lose that one MPH that can make a huge difference. so yes it does have to do with weather. but it cannot get stuck on top. the cars length and momentum would make it goes backward or forward. but never stop on top

i absolutely love roller coasters. Top Thrill Dragster was fantastic fun, a 120 MPH launch and then you go straight up 420 feet, then drop back down 420 feet. There's nothing quite like the thrill of that.
And actually, I feel more in control on a roller coaster than I do while driving fast. If you're driving fast, you can make a wrong turn and go of course, spin out of control, and crash into things. on a roller coaster, you're strapped in, and the car is clamped onto the track, it follows a set course, and you just enjoy the rush that comes with it.
It's okay though if you're not into that. Obviously you just don't feel comfortable with it, which I get.

in case anyone has a desire to ride the top thrill dragster, it's just down the road from us here in cleveland. tommy and his brother rode it last summer. i stayed very safely on the ground and ate 25 cent cotton candy.
i have a handful of regrets, but i'd say the 20s were pretty decent for me.
i'm very much looking to my 30s, however. i think the 20s are overrated.
