Vance & Hines vs Cobra vs Hard Krome?
Which brand of aftermarket motorcycle exhaust is best? Have heard Cobra's quality is not so good. Vance & Hines seems to be what I hear the most about. Hard Krome generally has a really nice deep sound. Anybody have one of these brands on their bike? If so, what do you like and/or dislike?
I have V&H ovals on my Harley.I really like their sound.
And the chrome is holding up good too.
I recomend the V&H.

Harley-Davidson Softail - Vance & Hines Big Radius Exhaust
I have a Vance and Hines straight back exhaust on my 883 sportster?
I was wondering if I can remove the baffles for more sound? They are already performance pipes but just wondering if I can remove the baffles for an additional performance boost?
vance and hines also makes performence baffles for their pipes. they are louder than the original baffles in the pipes, add some more performence and they are much cheaper than the thunder whatever baffles mentioned above. BUT, a 1200 conversion kit will give you a lot of boost for a relatively cheap price. you can find kits for $400.00 to $500.00.

I have an 08 650 v-star if I replace the stock pipes for this V& H Cruzers is there anything else i have to do to get the sound like yours? some body any body?
Wanted to see if anyone can tell me how to make a bracket/ spacer for the passenger foot pegs…THANKS!

What you want is the DynoJet Power Commander 5. The V&VH FuelPak is seriously out-dated technology. In '07, HD started using Oxygen Sensors in the fuel injection system, with the addition of these sensors, HD's can now run in Open & Closed Loop modes. HD's fuel injection is HANDS DOWN state-of-the-art over any other manufacturers with injection. The PC5 is currently the only "piggy-back" system on the market that is fully compatible with HD's new fuel injection system running Oxygen Sensors. HD's O2 Sensors are narrow band, they only read air/fuel ratiosfrom about 14:1-to-15.2:1. With the addtion of the PC5's wide band sensors, they will be able to reada/f ratios from 11:1-to-18:1, allowing WAY BETTER tuning capabilites.
The V&H FuelPak is nothing more than a simple box that you adjust by enterering #'s from maps that you find on the V&H website. Dyno tuning is possible, but extremely difficult and expensive, also it does not allow for any tuning of the O2 sensors for economy AND performance in the mid-range cruising speeds. The FuelPAk is just a "CHEAP GET-BY".
The PC5 is FULLY DYNO TUNEABLE FOR MAXIMUM POWER< PEFORMANCE AND ECONOMY.
I could go on and on about this, explaining it in great detail, but I'll keep it short with just the basics. I have been working on Harleys for about 20 years and do alot of Dyno Tuning on HD's….I LOVE their injection sytem, with the RIGHT FI Controller and properly tuned by a GOOD DYNO TUNER…..you won't recognize your own bike when you get it back!!!!
